Everyone around me seems to be getting diabetes 2 now, I've also noticed that they drink a lot, eat a lot, eat a lot of bread and sugary things and are very overweight. Does this make it a choice?

Yeah I've noticed this too.  Some of the peoples I know eat more in one meal that I eat in a whole day.

Lots of chunky ones walking around huffing and puffing and saying they are tired! yeah right. There are two words - willpower and health. You don't get one if you don't use the other.

Not much fun to have to watch what you can and cannot eat so carefully,  but it could be worse, you could get that thing that means you cannot eat gluten again or are very ill if you do, a lot more restrictions and a lot less fun.  Oh dear, why do so many people wait until it is too late to think of all these things? Should we get better educated about it by government instead of just chomping away on any food we fancy and then running to doctor when too late?
