I understand there are supposed to be agony aunts on this site but how do we know that they are genuine and not just after being nosey or wanting to interfere or spoil things or be bossy or after our money? I used to know a woman who was forever prying into my life, always asking me personal and private questions. She said she could advise me, she pretended to be a sort of agony aunt and psychic and astrologer. She had no clients at all, no proof at all that anyone trusted her or that she had any real understanding or wisdom, yet she would push herself on me like this and be offended if I were not interested in confiding in her.  Then one day I told her that I was thinking of having an affair with a guy who is local and nice. She asked me all sorts and the next thing I knew the so called agony aunt and psychic went and told my husband what I had told her! It took me ages to calm him down and get him to understand she was a nut case and was making it all up.
