Please remember to be cautious about getting to know or meeting people online. If you are working as a well paid agony aunt professional, a professional friend, a professional listener etc then get listed on the directory so that people can read all about you and contact you to hire you and pay you for your help. Make sure you post on the forums and the agony aunt letters page so that they can see your style and how good you are. They won't be wanting to choose you if they do not know all of that first. They have to feel they can trust your abilities before they will spend money on you!

We all needs friends. Remember that if you hire a professional friend it will be totally different to  having a real friend. You cannot ring a professional friend up whenever you fancy a chat. If you pay them to spend one day with you and you spend that day with them then you have had what you paid for and you need to hire them again for another meet up or whatever. Whatever you paid them the first time has been spent and is no more!  Think carefully about whether or not you want to hire them again. You may prefer to hire a different person next time.  Or you may find that your own life has changed and you no longer need to pay to hire someone at all.

Not sure a forum like this is a good place to seek friends. An agony aunt forum is more for people who need advice. I often meet people who are always seeking advice, wanting to phone me or come around for advice on the basis that we are now friends - no we are not, we are strangers, but they like to pretend they are friends so they sound normal to ask for free advice from a so called friend. Like I am going to fall for that.  When I make friends I make sure it's with people who are well sorted, not needy and clingy or always needing advice. Just a word of caution, that's all.
