I think I see it your way. I won't get married, too risky, too much to lose (a lot of women cannot see all this because they don't work and have nothing to lose in first place).

Yep it is just a piece of paper. I've seen this happen though. A woman nags a man to marry her because she wants peace of mind and security, she gets this idea in her head that if he marries her he is hers for life. Once they are married she relaxes and is not worried and takes him for granted. She stops looking nice and being sexy, she stops being caring and fun to be with, she is busy with other things, all sorts, he gets bored with it and it all drifts apart. Then all of a sudden she gets all worried because he is showing he has lost interest and he is the one who might want to end it. Oh dear she says. This no good to me, he has good job, nice house, I cannot have him ending it, he is my meal ticket. So she starts to behave more like she did before, nicer, more sexy and better looking. Till she gets complacent and takes him for granted again. Truth is this guy is better off without this woman because she manipulative and selfish and does not love him at all, he just a meal ticket to her.

Marrying has been in decline for many years lots of people just see it as a millstone that binds them together, people can cheat wether they are married or not yes you are making a comitment but your also doing that living together. By not marring if you split you don't have the cost of divorce either, I think some people see marriage as an outdated institution.
