Everyone seems to be chasing after money, I used to be like that, now I prefer to relax and listen to music or read a good book or chat to a good friend, that is priceless and helps us to be less stressed.

It's about ups and downs, learning, being you, suffering and being happy.

Has anyone noticed that people treat women differently to men?  For example if a woman says she works people assume (and it is often the case) that she does something part time and badly paid and easy, not a proper career, like putting Avon catalogues through the door, but if a man says he works people assume he is the breadwinner and earning a lot more doing something more serious and difficult?

Someone gave me a lift home the other day, someone I don't really know. They dropped me off at MY big nice house. As I got out of the car they said how nice it was I could afford to rent a room here.  REALLY?

I am sure they would not have said this to a man.

My husband and I have lived here for a bit but I bought the house before he existed.

Now I get remarks about how lucky I am that he has a good job and bought the house?! Really.

He was the one who lived in a tiny place before he came here!! Perhaps he is the lucky one.

Oh my people are always grumbling and making fusses. I am here to tell you that whatever it is that worries you forget it, tomorrow is another day and in a day or so or a bit longer it will go away anyway. Think of the things that worried you a year ago, they have gone.

One of my main gripes is the way most women make a big fuss about a tiny problem and want to talk about it for hours on end. Sometimes they made this problem happen - i.e. dating some totally horrible guy and then wondering why he keeps hurting them and letting them down.  One of the main things with dating a nasty guy is that this often happens.

Most men tend to just take things as they happen and move on. I know women who would talk for hours about something as simple as someone saying they will phone and ringing half an hour later than they said they would, like it is the end of the World. I avoid people now if they are like this otherwise I end up listening to hours of it each time.
