Hello, I like this site...  I would love to get an advice columnist job. It has been my dream for many years. I know I would be good at it because I love writing and love giving advice to friends. Most days one friend or another goes on to me about something or the other that is bothering them and I listen patiently as long as they want me to.  I don't know anyone who can do this as well as me. When I have big problems I have nobody at all to go to and get in a flap and worry a lot because none of my friends can listen or help. I might as well get paid for it and do it for other people, cause my friends just take me for granted, I don't know what to do about that. I will be on the directory as an advice columnist soon. So watch out for me if you want good listening and advising and hire me. It will be Worldwide online so wherever you live is fine by me, we won't be meeting or zooming, it will be emails. I promise that your first one will blow your socks off and you will be eager to have another one every time you are worried. I can solve and sort out any problem and am the one who should have the advice columnists jobs - for one thing I just had the washing machine break down and need repairing. It has cost me a bundle.

There are a few things that you need to remember before you can get a well paid advice columnist job professional. If you are looking to turn on people here so that they want to hire you are you really up to the job?  Some of the people who come here clearly need advice from others at every turn of their life. Those sort of people are not the sort of people who would ever be able to hack it as a professional doing an advice columnist job. A true one can sort out their own life and make sure they don't get problems all the time in the first place.  I spoke to a woman who told me about this site, she said she is going to get listed on the online agony aunts directory and get a lot of clients.

Then I heard the most ridiculous thing... she is asking people if they can lend her some money so she can get a listing on the directory to do agony aunt work. She cannot afford to do it herself.  Yet she is claiming she is so smart she can advise hundreds of people how to make sure their lives are good. People who are probably a lot better with work and money than her. What qualifies her to call herself a professional online agony aunt then? I work as a therapist and do that long hours each week. I come here for a rest and relief from forever helping others but I find it fascinating to read the agony aunt questions and answers given. Psychology interests me. The way peoples' brains tick gets me. I often wonder why people are so dishonest with themselves.  My friend told me she is going to do this because she wants to help people. That is absolute bullshit. She could work for the Samaritans or another helpline and do many other things then. What she means is she is planning to go on holiday soon and wants to bring in money for it. And was attracted to getting paid well to write and do agony aunt work.  If the agony aunts job did not pay well she would not do it. I just wish she was more honest about it.

I find it ridiculous that people who can barely read and write or spell, use terrible grammar and have a messed up bad life think they can earn good money working as an agony aunt! They are more likely to be the type who need to pay one of the good agony aunts for advice themselves.

The most ridiculous thing I've come across is people claiming they will make terrific agony aunts yet at the same time they cannot afford to register on the directory, which costs very little. How can anyone expect you to believe their own lives are sorted and successful if they can barely afford the price of a pizza to get started? Sounds like they ought to be clients of an agony aunt instead.
